The Dye Original

Our Story

Spanning over three generations of the Dye family, the story of The Urbana Country Club begins in the early 1920’s when the sport of golf was increasing in popularity across our country. A local businessman, Paul F. Dye took a risk, routed out and built the original golf course. Built on unworkable and hilly land his design would turn out to be the inspiration for a golf architectural dyenasty that would ever change the landscape of modern golf.
